The Lagom Game

Published on 28 March, 2012, in Games.

“Lagom” is hard to translate, it means “just enough”, “adequate”, “not too much, not too little”. Anyway, Svenska Spel who are the major gambling company in Sweden runs a campaign with the purpose of getting people to gamble “lagom” much. And their agency, The Viral Company, commissioned this game to us.

The result is a side scroller where you keep a “lagom” speed by picking “lagom” many power-ups. To add a little Bergman-spice to it, you are chased by the grim reaper. If he catches you you must beat him in a game of stone-paper-scissors. .

Adidas Speed Arena

Published on 12 March, 2012, in Spel.

The best way to promote a shoe is to let the user try it on. The second best way is to make a game. We did the latter when we helped The Viral Company with a campaign for Adidas new F50 soccer boot. Practice, improve your stats and enter the Speed Arena. Here you race against other players with asynchronous multiplayer action.

Get ready for some dribbling, sprinting and shooting!

Destroy The Sluice!

Published on 16 December, 2011, in Spel.

Great Works asked us if we had time to create a true mini-game for SVT, the Swedish public television. We got the brief on Wednesday, produced on Thursday and launched on Friday. The game is one in a series, that address a current topic and the “be or not to be” of the famous sluice in Stockholm was this weeks target. We agreed “not to be” was most fun and the result is a break-out game turned upside down. It’s demolition time y’all!
